The cylinder head dept is the busiest area of our workshop.

We work on a wide variety of cylinder heads from small single

cylinder motorbike heads through to heads off large commercial

vehicles such as Volvo, M.A.N, Daf, and Scania.

We have invested in the best machinery available in order to

produce the quality our customers demand.

VALVE SEATS

Any cylinder head that needs valve seats machined or replaced

as in new hardened valve seats for classic cars to allow them to run

on unleaded fuel, or engines that have been converted to run on gas

will be done on our Serdi machine. This is the latest air operated

machine that produces a superb 3 angle valve seat that is necessary

to aid the flow of air through the cylinder head and be perfectly gas

tight.

HEAD AND BLOCK SKIMMING

Heads and blocks are machined on our A.M.C. SCHOU 1400 milling

and grinding machine. Gone are the days when any old finish will do.

Today’s multi layer steel gaskets require a much finer finish.

We use P.C.D. Cutting inserts to achieve a mirror like surface finish.
